Apparatus (1) connector for securing together two components (30, 40) and including: a coupling means (2) arranged to be secured to a first component (40) of said two components; holding means (3) arranged to be disposed in a second component (30) of said two components to be accessible by said coupling means and having two clamp parts (6, 7) which can be assembled to be disposed on different sides of said coupling means by an attachment means (28) adapted to link said two clamp parts to releasably clamp one or both clamp parts to the coupling means to thereby secure releasably the two components together, characterized in that the connecting means (28) of the fastening means (3) are adapted to be disposed adjacent the coupling means in use to permit insertion or release of the coupling means (2) from media clamping (3) assembled without obstruction thereby, wherein a clamp part or both clamp parts (6, 7) can be arranged to OBSTR uence retraction of the coupling means (2) from the clamp, in use.
