PURPOSE: A steering mode for a 4-driving and 4-steering mobile robot is provided to maximize the steering performance within a limited space by employing twelve steering modes. CONSTITUTION: A steering mode for a 4-driving and 4-steering mobile robot(1) includes a 360-degree tuning mode, a parking mode, a longitudinal and transverse travel mode, a mode of taking as rotational center the left and right outer extension lines of front and rear wheels(10~13), a mode of taking as rotational center the upper and lower outer extension lines of right and left wheels, a mode of moving back and forth the four wheels in parallel, a mode of taking as rotational center the middle outer extension line between right and left sides, and a mode of taking as rotational center the middle outer extension line between upper and lower sides.
