The system has a guiding monorail (4) defining a path for a vehicle (1) and comprising an inclined portion. A traction chain (2) tows the vehicle along the guiding monorail. A motor drives the traction chain. A cage (5) is arranged around the traction chain. The cage and the traction chain are in mutual contact on large part of length of a chain portion engaged in the cage. The cage is coated with Teflon (RTM: PTFE).
