SLIME SUPPRESSING TREATMENT METHOD OF METALLIC DRAIN MEMBER, AND SLIME-SUPPRESSIVE METALLIC DRAIN MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slime from sticking to a drain member such as a drain garbage basket of a custom kitchen.;SOLUTION: To the surface of a stainless steel base material of the drain member 11, by executing surface treatment for forming a silanol group on the surface of the base material by immersing it in diluted water solution treatment containing a surface treating agent such as mercaptopropyl trimethoxy silane for 1.5-7 wt.%, then executing antibacterial treatment for imparting an antibacterial property to the surface of the base material by immersing it in the diluted water solution treatment containing the antibacterial agent of 3-(trimethoxysilylpropyl) octadecyldimethylammonium chloride of 1-4 wt.%, and executing high temperature heating treatment at 120°C-170°C for 0.5-3 hours thereafter to covalently bond the silanol group of quaternary ammonium salt of the antibacterial agent with the silanol group, a slime sticking suppressing measure is taken.
