PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time when generating gradation data.;SOLUTION: In oversampling processing, a plurality of subpixels correspond to each pixel, and the gradation value of each pixel is determined by the number of sampling positions of the plurality of subpixels included in the inside of a contour and a skeleton part of a displayed graphic. Gradation data as shown in (a) and generated with the center of each subpixel as a sampling position and gradation data shown in (b) and generated with the center of a lower edge of each pixel as a sampling position are merged by adding the gradation values of corresponding pixels as they are to thereby generate gradation data shown in (c).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
