The present invention relates to improved production of recombinant parvovirus virions in insect cells. In particular, the invention relates to an improved method for producing recombinant parvovirus virions in insect cells, in which the ratio of filled / empty parvovirus virions is increased. The invention also relates to the production of parvovirus vectors that can be used in gene therapy, and to improving the expression of Rep viral proteins, which increases the productivity of parvovirus vectors.
