Described is a tortilla frying machine for maize chips o snacks, which in general terms includes: a structural frame; an oil bath for cooking in a fixed manner located in the upper portion of the frame, which has a predetermined volume of cooking oil; a couple of trays integrally attached to the upper portion of the oil bath, where one of the trays is extended towards the front portion of the frying machine, while the other tray is extended towards the rear portion of the frying machine; at least a containing grid hinged to the upper portion of one of the trays, which is useful for containing a plurality of tortillas to be fried; at least a couple of burners located at the outer portion and under the oil bath for providing combustion energy for heating the oil contained in the oil bath; a pipe interconnected by one end portion thereof to the burners and by the remaining end portion to a tank for storing gas-fuel.
