Disclosed is the use of a triazine based affinity adsorbent of formula II for the separation, removal, isolation, purification, characterisation, identification or quantification of Factor VIII, von Willebrand's Factor or a protein that is an analogue of either in vitro. The variables are as disclosed in the specification. Also disclosed are particular compounds of formula II as disclosed in the specification.
