A high speed flywheel that includes a gasket (2), in which the flywheel is mounted on a shaft (4) and comprises a core in which the vacuum has been made and in which the gasket (2 ) comprises a housing (6, 8) and a cavity (30) inside the housing (6, 8), a lip seal (20, 22) being provided on both sides of the cavity (30), the gaskets lips (20, 22) being in contact and surrounding the tree (4), the cavity (30) being provided with a volume which can be filled with fluid (40), means (36) for fluid insertion (40) inside the cavity (30) and means (38) to allow the expulsion of air from the cavity (30) during the insertion of the fluid (40) inside the cavity (30), whereby the fluid ( 40) can form a seal against the tree (4); and in which the fluid (40) inserted inside the cavity (30) does not vaporize at the pressure of the inertia flywheel core in which the vacuum has been made.
