PURPOSE: A semiconductor devices having a bit line expanding island is provided for the expansion and connection of a reliable bit line by forming the bit line expansion island on the bottom of a bit line.;CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer(110) is formed on a semiconductor layer(100). A plurality of bit lines(120) is formed on the insulating layer. A plurality of bit lines has a first width(W1). A bit line expansion island(130) is formed within the insulating layer.
