A PLASTICIZER AND A PREPARING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A plasticizer is provided to manufacture a polyvinyl chloride resin compound having excellent plasticizing efficiency and improved physical properties like hardness, tensile strength etc. CONSTITUTION: A plasticizer comprises glycerin trimester which is CH 2(O R1)CH(OR 2)CH 2(OR 3) by a chemical formula. Among the R1-R3, one or two are acetyl group. Another one or two are compounds selected from C6-13 acyl group and benzoyl group, and have more than 80wt% based on the whole plasticizer. A manufacturing method of the plasticizer comprises the following steps: a step of fractional distillation of a coconut oil methyl ester and obtaining a C6-C12 fatty acid methyl ester; a step of mixing the fatty acid methyl ester with a triacetin and methyl benzoate; and a step of a transesterification of the mixture under a basic catalyst.
