PURPOSE: A gene which is specifically expressed in wild ginseng is provided to easily identify wild ginseng. CONSTITUTION: Gene pGAPDH-w, which is specifically expressed in wild ginseng, comprises a nucleotide of sequence number 1. A method for identifying wild ginseng comprises: a step of performing quantitative RT-PCR of a sample; and a step of identifying the detection of pGAPDH-w of the sample using pGAPDH-w gene as a marker. The sample is wild ginseng or general ginseng.
