A drastic reduction in machine downtime is achieved that the material plates (13a, b) for cutting in two or more different, from the same cutting device (14, 15, 16) achievable cutting positions (SP1, SP2) are accommodated, and that by means of the cutting device (14, 15, 16) in the different cutting positions (SP1, SP2) contained material plates are cut in succession.
