The invention relates to a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine (10) having at least one cylinder head (11) placed on a cylinder block (12), wherein the cylinder head (11) comprises at least one intake channel (13a) having at least one intake valve (13b) and at least one exhaust channel (14a) having at least one exhaust valve (14b), a combustion chamber (15) formed at least in areas by the cylinder block (12), and a channel system (20) for introducing secondary air into the exhaust channel (14a). According to the invention, the channel system (20) comprises a main line (21) and a plurality of feed lines (22) extending from the main line (21), the feed line (22) comprising a feed area (22a) and an opening area (22b), wherein the opening area (22b) ends in the exhaust channel (14a) of each cylinder, and the main line (21) and the feed area (22a) of the feed line (22) extend within the cylinder block (12).
