The home appliance device is provided with an operating system unit (10), where an operating element (12) is connected to a function surface (14) of the operating system unit. A glass-like component (16) partially forms the functional surface. The functional surface is formed partly by a molding (18) of the glass shaped component. The forces of the operating element are adjusted to a larger part in an operating condition. An independent claim is also included for a home appliance manufacturing method.
