PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel photoelectric conversion device that can efficiently utilize light energy and that can improve performance.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion device comprises a photoelectric conversion element and an energy conversion layer located on a light reception plane side of a photoelectric conversion layer of the photoelectric conversion element. The energy conversion layer includes plural first layers and plural second layers and has a structure in which the first layers and the second layers are stacked alternately. Each of the first layers has a thickness of 0.5 nm or more and 10 nm or less. Each of the second layers has a thickness of 0.5 nm or more and 10 nm or less. The second layers can have a material with a wider energy band gap than that of the first layers.
