PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planimetrical feature information output device and a planimetrical feature information output method that can output planimetrical feature information showing arrangements and topology of planimetrical features in detail and also suppress small the amount of data required to be stored in an information storage means to output such planimetrical feature information. PSOLUTION: The planimetrical feature information output device includes: a planimetrical feature topology information storage means DB1 which stores planimetrical feature topology information Fa for every planimetrical feature kind; a planimetrical feature arrangement information storage means DB2 which stores planimetrical feature kind information Fb on each planimetrical feature and planimetrical feature arrangement information Fc on each planimetrical feature; and a planimetrical feature information generating means 3 of acquiring planimetrical feature kind information Fb and planimetrical feature arrangement information Fc on a planimetrical feature nearby a specified position from the planimetrical feature arrangement information storage means DB2, acquiring planimetrical feature topology information Fa of the planimetrical feature kind from the planimetrical feature topology information storage means DB1 according to the acquired planimetrical feature kind information Fb, and generating and outputting planimetrical feature information F showing the arrangement and topology of the planimetrical feature nearby the specified position on a road surface based upon the planimetrical feature arrangement information Fc and planimetrical feature topology information Fa.
