An apparatus 100 for testing and determining quality of the immersion quenched heat treated product includes a handle assembly 10 and a specimen assembly 20 configured to engage with the handle assembly 10. The handle assembly 10 has a handle 12, a stem 14 attached to the handle 12. Further, a thermocouple 30 extending from the specimen assembly 20 towards the handle assembly 10 is provided. The handle 12 of the handle assembly 10 is configured to house a USB data logger (not shown) therein.
