An implement for extemporary preparation of cold coffee starting from hot coffee has a body (2) defining a cavity (3) for withholding fragmented ice (11), with an upper mouth (4), for introduction into the cavity (3) of an amount of fragmented ice (11) and of an amount of hot coffee (13), and a bottom (6) opposite to the mouth (4). The bottom (6) has an outlet (7), sized to enable outflow of cooled coffee (14), at the same time preventing substantial passage of the fragmented ice (11). The cavity (3) and the outlet (7) are sized so that, following upon introduction of the amount of hot coffee (13) into the cavity (3) containing the amount of fragmented ice (11), an infusion is obtained between coffee and ice such as to cause a substantial reduction of the temperature of the coffee prior to its outflow through the outlet (7).
