PURPOSE: A ceramic electronic component and a wiring board are provided to secure a penetration space of an adhesive between an outer electrode and a base substrate by projecting out one part of an outer electrode more than the other part in a thickness direction.;CONSTITUTION: A ceramic electronic component(1) includes a ceramic body(10) on a rectangular parallelepiped and a first and a second outer electrodes(13,14). The first and the second outer electrodes are formed on a first main surface(10a). One part of the first and the second outer electrode is projected more than another part in a thickness direction. A protrusion portion(13a) of the first outer electrode is prepared at one lateral end portion in the longitudinal direction of the first outer electrode. The protrusion portion(14a) of the second outer electrode is prepared at the other lateral end portion in the longitudinal direction of the second outer electrode. A concave portion is formed between the protrusion portions.
