PURPOSE: A magnesium alloy for room temperature is provided to make grain refinement of magnesium alloy and to prevent the formation of β-Mg17Al12 phase of strong embrittlement by adding CaO(Calcium Oxide) to the magnesium alloy.;CONSTITUTION: A magnesium alloy for room temperature comprises CaO. After the 0.3-0.7 wt% of CaO is added on the surface of molten magnesium alloy, the CaO is reduced by an reduction reaction of the molten metal and the added CaO, thereby generating compound. The tensile strength of room temperature of the magnesium alloy for room temperature is higher than the tensile strength of room temperature of magnesium alloy before adding the CaO. The tensile strength of room temperature of the magnesium alloy for room temperature is increased according to increase the additional amount of the CaO.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
