MAGNESIUM ALLOY SLAB MANUFACTURING METHOD USING A TWIN-ROLL CASTING METHOD AND A MAGNESIUM ALLOY SLAB MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME, CAPABLE OF EXPEDITING A DISPERSION STRENGTHENING BY ADDING MANGANESE AND STRENGTHENING A SOLID SOLUTION BY ADDING ALUMINUM
PURPOSE: A magnesium alloy slab manufacturing method using a twin-roll casting method and a magnesium alloy slab manufactured by the same are provided to utilize a slab as a lightweight structure material because a magnesium alloy slab has improved values of a yield stress, a maximum tensile strength, and an elongation.;CONSTITUTION: A magnesium alloy slab manufacturing method using a twin-roll casting method is as follows. An aluminum-manganese master alloy is manufactured by mixing an aluminum ingot and a manganese element. A magnesium-additive master alloy is manufactured by mixing a manganese ingot and additives. The aluminum-manganese master and the magnesium-additive master alloy are added to molten magnesium, thereby manufacturing a molten alloy. An alloy slab is manufactured with the molten alloy by using a twin-roll casting method.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
