The device (10) has a fuel chamber provided with a disk-shaped conveying element (12) i.e. pane, that is rotated around a rotational axis (A) and provided with a set of holes (14). A feed device (16) defines a supplying region for supplying pellets to be burned. An air feed device supplies air such that the air flows from a downside to a portion of the holes of the conveying element. A fuel region burns the pellets supplied in the supply region. A drive device (20) rotates the conveying element around the rotational axis and exhausts burning residues of the conveying element.
