The device i.e. timber pellet-chimney oven (1), has a combustion chamber (6) connected to a combustion air supply and an exhaust system. A combustion chamber shell (7) i.e. rectangular-shaped combustion chamber shell trough, of a lateral delimitation part fills fuel in the combustion chamber via a thin chute (8). The combustion chamber is observable via a transparently formed viewing window. Width of the shell is 50 percent greater than width of the combustion chamber. The shell comprises a secondary air supply near a primary air supply in a shell region along the shell.
