The energy recovery system has a storage unit (12) with inner and outer bearing rings (18,20) that are separated by several rollers (22). The inner bearing ring faces a rotating shaft (26), so that the inner bearing rotates together with the rotating shaft. Several electromechanical transducers (28) are arranged along the inner circumference of inner bearing ring.
