The method involves controlling electromechanical actuator (1) by a control device, based on pressure actual value of pressurizing device (30) at current position and pressure reference value. The modulus value of pressure actual value of pressurizing device at current position is determined. A manipulated variable for actuating electromechanical actuator is determined based on modulus value and pressure reference value. An independent claim is included for brake assembly of motor vehicle.
