PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally reduce power consumption of a motor for driving a coolant discharge pump.;SOLUTION: The coolant supply device for a machine tool includes: a pump 10 for discharging coolant, and whose discharge capacity is variable; a coolant supply path L1 for directing the coolant discharged from the pump 10 to a machining area in the machine tool; a storage means for storing in advance an optimal discharge capacity (a set frequency fα of the motor 11) of the pump 10 suitable for avoiding an excessive supply of coolant from the pump 10; and a controller 20 for controlling the discharge capacity of the pump 10 to the optimal discharge capacity stored in the storage means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
