P To provide a miniaturizable V-belt type continuously variable transmission. PSOLUTION: A motor for operating a driving side groove width variable mechanism 80 and a driven side groove width variable mechanism 140, is constituted by being incorporated into a single driving unit 90 driven by the motor and having an output shaft 71 advancing-retreating in the axial direction of a movable pulley. The driving unit 90 is arranged between a driving pulley 60 and a driven pulley 70. A POWER transmission part 100 advances-retreats in the parallel direction to the axis of both movable pulleys by interlocking with an output shaft 91 advancing-retreating in the axial direction and a movable pulley 62 in the driving pulley 60 and a movable pulley 72 in the driven pulley 70 are respectively simultaneously slid in the same direction by the same quantity by directly or indirectly engaging with a boss part of the respective movable pulleys.
