PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operation frequency of an electric oil pump for operating a CVT, or to reduce an oil pump output, and thereby to reduce pump operating noise, in a hybrid vehicle having an engine and a motor and driven by the engine and motor independently.SOLUTION: The oil pump controller for automatic transmission in a hybrid vehicle is provided with: a CVT 12 for changing the speed of rotation inputted from an engine 4 and outputting a vehicle driving force; a travel motor 2 for outputting a vehicle driving force through a different system from that for output from the CVT 12 so as to allow a vehicle to travel even in a state with the engine 4 stopped; an electric pump 24 for supplying oil pressure for variable speed control of CVT 12; a transmission gear ratio detection means 36; and a control means 28, when the engine 4 is stopped and the vehicle travels by the travel motor 2 at a first vehicle speed or lower, for operating the electric pump 24 before a transmission gear ratio becomes a predetermined overdrive value, and stopping the electric pump 24 when the transmission gear ratio becomes the predetermined overdrive value.
