PURPOSE: An emotional sympathy robot service system and a method thereof provide a user with desired information by leading the active participation of the user. CONSTITUTION: An emotional sympathy robot service system comprises a sensor module (110), a situation recognition module (120), a service processing module (130), and an expression module (150). The situation recognition module comprises a sensed information recognition unit (122), an image recognition unit (124), and a voice recognition unit (126). The service processing module shows an expression for leading a user to obtain desired information and provides the user with the desired information by analyzing the situation and emotion of the user. The expression module shows a preset expression depending on the signal from the service processing module.
