PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanization machine in which maintenance of a support medium that is arranged in a periphery of a center mechanism can be easily performed, and burden of an operator can be reduced; and a maintenance method of the tire vulcanization machine.SOLUTION: A tire vulcanization machine includes: a support medium 13 that supports a lower platen 14; a guide member 31 that includes a flange part 33 at an end, and in which the flange part 33 is detachably supported at a peripheral part of an open hole 25; and a bug head 37 that is slidably inserted into the guide member 31, wherein the bug head 37 includes a regulation member 70 that contacts to the guide member 31 to regulate displacement of the bug head 37 in a retraction direction when being inserted into the guide member 31 to a predetermined prescribed position, and the regulation member 70 projects from an outer peripheral surface of the bug head 37 toward an outside, and is detachably mounted to an outer peripheral surface.
