PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium iron phosphate particle for a lithium ion secondary battery positive electrode material which is arranged to achieve no less than 10 N/m with a 180-degree peel strength defined by JIS K 6854-2 by improvement of a lithium iron phosphate particle used as a material of positive electrode active substance.SOLUTION: A lithium iron phosphate particle exhibits a value of 20.0-40.0 ml/100 g as an amount of absorption of dibutyl phthalate defined by JIS K 6217-4(year of 2008), and shows an average particle diameter (d50 diameter) in a range of 3-50 m in a particle size distribution measurement by laser diffraction.
