PURPOSE: A scribing wheel for a brittle material is provided to have a low cross-point skip while having high side strength and good penetrability by forming a small pitch and shortening the length of cutouts to be shorter than the length of protrusions. CONSTITUTION: A scribing wheel for a brittle material comprises a peripheral line(13) on the outer circumference. The scribing wheel has a plurality of cutouts(15) and protrusions(16). The cutouts and protrusions are alternately formed along the peripheral line. The length of the cutouts is shorter than the length of the protrusions. The pitch of the cutouts along the peripheral line is 8-18 Mm. The peripheral length of the cutouts is 1-9 Mm. The depth of the cutouts is 0.3-0.7 Mm.
