The invention relates to a method of in vitro preserving phyto-inocula. According to the invention, the method consists in cultivating the phyto-inocula in a regime of slow growth in a vitroculture medium of polymethylvinylether type in combination with maleic acid, sodium salts, calcium salts, a mixture of petrolatum and liquid paraffin and a cellulosic gum, as a paste of semisolid consistency, which has as effect a decrease of the subculture number without affecting the regenarative capacity of the phyto-inocula.
