METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL CHOICE OF ANTI-BACTERIAL THERAPY FOR TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PYELONEPHRITIS

A method for differential choice of anti-bacterial therapy for treatment of patients with chronic pyelonephritis is realized through empirical prescription of preparation and bacteriological investigation of urine. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is carried out, diagnostics of resistance (bla TEM, bla SHV, bla CTX-M) genes, those mediate resistance to β-pactams and (qnrA, gepA, aac(6_)-Ib-cr) genes, those mediate stability to fluoroquinolones and aminoglycosides in bacteria isolated from urine. If therapy chosen in empirical way is non effective other antibiotic from other group to which resistance genes are not found is prescribed.
