The proposed method for providing for the remote fitting and/or selection of clothing comprises: developing and maintaining at least one web site; developing a database of articles of clothing, during the creation of, and/or addition to which database a three-dimensional model of an article of clothing is constructed using the morphing of a predetermined template for said article of clothing and of photographs of said article of clothing; providing for the interaction between a consumer and a web server by means of cross-platform client applications, during which a three-dimensional model of the consumer's body is constructed using the morphing of a previously defined three-dimensional template of a human body, and, in the presence of the necessary three-dimensional model of an article of clothing, an article of clothing is selected, corresponding to the constructed three-dimensional model of the consumer's body.
