The invention relates to a structural reinforcement system for surf boards, which allows torsion to be minimised in the longitudinal axis without negatively affecting the bending properties in the transverse axis. The reinforcement consists of longitudinal fibres having a high modulus of elasticity and high resistance to tension. It is arranged in the perimeter area of the boards, specifically in the area corresponding to the position of the neutral fibre of the respective transverse section. Furthermore, the reinforcement allows an increase in the integral resistance of the boards to the transverse fractures.
