The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device (OLED) with improved quantum efficiency by using a probabilistic nanostructure and a method for manufacturing the organic electroluminescent device. Disclosed are an OLED and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the OLED is a top emission type. The OLED comprises a hemispherical probabilistic nanostructure which comprises nanostructures distributed on the upper surface of a substrate and formed into hemispherical shapes; a lower electrode layer which comprises a metal electrode layer which is formed into a corrugated layer on the upper part of the probabilistic nanostructure according to the shape of the probabilistic nanostructure; an organic light emitting layer which is formed into a corrugated layer according to the shape of the lower electrode layer on the upper part of the lower electrode layer and comprises a light emitting material to emit a color by applying an electric field; and an upper electrode layer which is a transparent electrode layer formed into a corrugated layer according to the shape of the organic light emitting layer on the upper part of the organic light emitting layer. According to the present invention, an OLED composed of corrugated layers by using the probabilistic nanostructure, thereby converting surface plasmon polariton, excited and consumed in an electrode, into light and improving external quantum effect (EQE) of emitting the light to the outside of the OLED.
