A dopant ink composition and a method for producing a solar cell are described. The dopant ink composition may contain a crosslinkable matrix precursor, a bonded dopant species, and a solvent. The method for manufacturing a solar cell may include a step of supplying the dopant ink composition to a region above the substrate. The dopant ink composition contains a crosslinkable matrix precursor, a bound dopant species, and a solvent. The method includes calcining the dopant ink composition to remove most of the solvent of the dopant ink composition and curing the dopant ink composition to obtain a large amount of a crosslinkable matrix precursor of the dopant ink composition.
