A dryer (500) is provided with: a case (501) having a ventilation path (5011) for guiding a gas, and an outlet (5012) through which the gas flows out; a blower (502) for causing the gas to flow toward the outlet (5012), the blower (502) being disposed inside the case (501); a heater (503) for heating the gas; and a waterproof shielding plate (504) provided on the outlet (5012) side inside the ventilation path (5011), said plate being composed of at least two plate-shaped members (5041, 5042). The dryer (500) is thus made compact and energy-efficient.
