Disclosed is a composition for preventing or treating benign prostate hyperplasia which can be applied for a pharmaceutical composition or a functional food composition for preventing or treating benign prostate hyperplasia by obtaining a fraction extract of unripe astringent persimmon which is a natural product. The present invention provides a composition comprising the unripe astringent persimmon fraction as an active ingredient for preventing or treating benign prostate hyperplasia.
