The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an iron-antimony based thermoelectric material doped with ytterbium, which includes the melting, rapid cooling and heat treatment steps. The method for manufacturing an iron-antimony based thermoelectric material doped with ytterbium in a Fe_4Sb_12 includes: an ingredient preparing step (S110) of preparing compositions of iron (Fe), antimony (Sb), ytterbium (Yb), and cobalt (Co) that are included in a thermoelectric material in a predetermined ratio; a melting furnace charging step (S120) of charging the thermoelectric material compositions to a melting furnace; a heating step (S130) of heating the thermoelectric material compositions in the melting furnace at a predetermined temperature; a cooling step (S140) of rapidly cooling the heated and melted thermoelectric material compositions; and a heat treatment step (S150) of heat treating the cooled thermoelectric material compositions to form a skutterudite structure.
