The present invention relates to a car parking optimization system and a method thereof, for guiding a parking place according to the kind of a car in a car ferry and checking the same. The car parking optimization system of the present invention includes: a setting unit for setting each parking place as to the kind and quantity of cars to be transported; a number of guiding units for guiding the parking place of a car set by the setting unit; a number of checking unit for checking the parking status of the car; and a control unit which controls each guiding unit according to the parking status of the car sensed by each checking unit. The control unit controls the car to be parked sequentially at the parking place, and can reduce safety accident rate during parking and at the same time can reduce management costs for parking management.
