FIELD: weapons and ammunition.;SUBSTANCE: charge for shot-gun cartridges for smooth-bore sport and hunting weapons of 12, 16 and 20 gauge consists of a spherical powder. The powder is placed in a capsule case with felt and wood dummies and small shot. The charge is made of spherical powder elements consisting of nitrocellulose with a nitrogen oxide content of 214-212 ml NO/g, 1.2-1.8 wt % lead (II) - copper (II) oxide phthalate, 0.4-0.8 wt % diphenylamine, 0.4-0.8 wt % of carbon black (soot) and graphite, 0.4-0.5 wt % ethyl acetate and 0.2-0.6 wt % moisture, with the bulk density of the powder elements of 0.59-0.71 kg/dm³, with the following ratio of fractions, wt %: the mass fraction of the powder passed through the grid of 0.4 and remaining on the grid 0.2, at least 92, the mass fraction of coarse pellets remaining on the grid of 0.4 and passed through the grid of 0.2, not more than 8.;EFFECT: weight reduction of powder charge and increase in the speed of a bullet of shot charge.;1 tbl
