PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backward movement prevention device for a pedal device for vehicle capable of easily and reliably suppressing a backward movement of an operation pedal with respect to the backward movement prevention device for the pedal device for vehicle suppressing the backward movement of the operation pedal, when a dash panel is displaced to the back side of the vehicle accompanied with the front collision of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A brake pedal device 1 includes: a first bracket 10; a second bracket 15; a turning shaft 20; an operation pedal 30; an intermediate lever 35; a coupling link 40; and a holding mechanism part 50. When the second bracket 15 abuts against a bracket C for collision, the second bracket 15 turns around the turning shaft 20, and is separated from the holding mechanism part 50, and alienates the operation pedal 30 from the first bracket 10. Since the operation pedal 30 is connected to the intermediate lever 35 installed in the first bracket 10 by the coupling link 40, the backward movement amount of the operation pedal 30 can be suppressed accompanied with the turning of the second bracket 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
