PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power generation efficiency by electrothermal means in which heat of heat conduction means that performs heat conduction by rotation is used.;SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, a fixation roller mechanism part is rotated by a drive motor while heated by a heater so that a fixation part 6 performs a fixation operation for fixing a toner image on a sheet P, and when the fixation operation is completed, the heating by the heater is stopped. An input/output control part 32 controls the drive motor so that the fixation roller mechanism part of the fixation part 6 is rotated at a fixation rotation speed during the fixation operation, and is rotated at a power generation rotation speed more slowly than the fixation rotation speed from the time of the completion of the fixation operation.
