The present invention provides a polarizing plate with no imprinting when the surface shape of a member touching the polarizing plate is transferred to the surface of the polarizing plate, in a liquid crystal display device where the polarizing plate is stacked on a liquid crystal cell. Also, the present invention provides a polarizing plate where a first protection film is stacked on a surface of an absorption-type polarizing film. The Vicker′s hardness of the first protection film opposite to the absorption-type polarizing film is 10 kgf/mm^2 or more. The first protection film may be a thermoplastic resin film. Also, the first protection film may be a reflection-type polarizing film. Moreover, the first protection film is a laminate of the reflection-type polarizing film and the thermoplastic resin film, and may be laminated on the absorption-type polarizing film in the thermoplastic resin film.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
