A film article having a double-sided structure is one in which both major surfaces of the film have structured surfaces. The structured film article has a first major surface and a second major surface, wherein each surface has a plurality of spaced protrusions forming a repeating pattern. Each repeating pattern has a major axis, wherein the major axis is one of the major axes in the translation direction of the repeating pattern. The major axis of the repeating pattern on the second main surface forms an inclination angle with the major axis on the first major surface, wherein the angle ranges from 10 to 90% of the rotational symmetry angle of the repeating pattern. The structured film is an integral substrate. The structured film article is produced by providing a flowable material composition having two major surfaces and contacting the major surface simultaneously with the first and second microstructured tools. Each microstructured tool has a structured surface comprising a pattern of a plurality of depressions.
