PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a deep UV light-emitting element, which is high in deep UV light reflectance, and of which the reduction in reflectance owing to the exposure to deep UV light is suppressed.SOLUTION: A substrate for a deep UV light-emitting element comprises: a substrate main body having an element-mounting part to mount a deep UV light-emitting element operable to emit deep UV light on; and a frame disposed so as to surround the element-mounting part. The substrate main body and the frame include, as a base material, glass ceramics including glass and ceramic particles dispersed in the glass. The glass ceramics have a reflectance of 75% or larger for light of a wavelength of 280 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
