摘要

The purpose of the invention is to provide a method for producing luminescent photonic structures of porous silicon by means of an electrochemical attack of crystalline silicon assisted with polyoxometalates, where the anode is a crystalline silicon substrate. The electrolyte comprises an aqueous solution of HF, at least a polar solvent, polyoxometalate (POM) compounds, and may include an oxidant and glycerine. The porous silicon resulting from said method is characterised in that it produces a luminescent emission at room temperature in the region of the visible spectrum. These photonic and luminescent structures may possibly be applied as the active part in LEDS, lasers, wave guides, solar cells, photochemical sensors, amongst others.
